Aerial Classes (18+)

Below you will see our session classes for all adult aerial classes, both new and returning students.

Intermediate Lyra (18+) $190 Purchase required to enroll

Level: Intermediate

Mondays from 5:30-6:45pm starting April 29 and ending June 17 with Claire Dehm

This class is designed for those who have been working on Lyra for at least a year consistently, and are excited to explore more complex and creative pathways on the apparatus. This class is suggested for those interested in working on complex material over time, working collaboratively with the class cohort, and engaging in aerial problem solving.

Duo Aerial (18+ with exceptions) $190 Purchase required to enroll

Level: Beginner / Intermediate

Mondays from 6:45-8pm starting April 29 and ending June 17 with Emily Healy, Shekinah Williams

Duo aerial provides an opportunity to work with a partner while in the air! Students should be excited to collaborate creatively as well as work on technical skills with a partner.

Prerequisites: For students with at least one full session of an aerial class. This class is not designed for students who have never learned aerial arts - please see Intro to Aerial!

Thursdays from 5:30-6:45pm starting May 2 and ending June 20 with Emily Babin

Beginner Lyra is for anyone who knows they really want to focus on Lyra skills specifically. Students must have experience in at least one 12 week session where lyra was explored. Focus will be on the fundamental shapes, pathways, and theories that lead to lyra skills and sequencing.
Pre-requisite: at least one session of classes that explored lyra.

Beg/Int Fabric Technique (18+) $190 Purchase required to enroll

Level: Beginner / Intermediate

Thursdays from 5:30-6:45pm starting May 2 and ending June 20 with Alex Sosebee

This class is focused on skills, drills, and pathways for the fundamentals of aerial fabric. Class will move at a slow and steady pace, focusing on progressions that lead to a theoretical and physical understanding of the world of aerial fabric. This class is designed to be mixed level and on the gentler side - if you are looking for a more intense class, we recommend the intermediate fabric class.

Pre-requisite: Students should have experience with aerial fabric skills such as foot knot, hip key, and basic climbing. If you are totally new to fabric please join the Intro to Aerial class.

Adv Bar Aparatus: Trapeze, Lyra (18+ with exceptions) $190 Purchase required to enroll

Advanced Bar Apparatus: Trapeze, Lyra (18+ with exceptions)
Level: advanced

Mondays from 5:30-6:45 starting April 29 and ending June 17 with Emily Healy

Pre-req: 1 session of a bar apparatus, comfort with inversions and pullovers from the ground, short and long arm holds, and comfort exploring skills below, on, and above the bar including dynamic movements. Students should be self-motivated and excited to work on aerial problem-solving!

Hammock Sequencing (18+) $190 Purchase required to enroll

Level: beginner / intermediate

Tuesdays from 5:30-6:45 starting April 30 and ending June 18 with Claire Dehm

This class will take individual tricks and build them into sequences on aerial hammock! For those with experience in at least 1 session of circus classes that included hammock and who are comfortable inverting on the hammock.

Pre-requisite: at least 1 session of an aerial class that included hammock, comfort with inverting

Beg/Int Trapeze (18+ with exceptions) $190 Purchase required to enroll

Level: beginner / intermediate

Tuesdays from 5:30-6:45 starting April 30 and ending June 18 with Alex Sosebee

Pre-requisite: At least 3 classes of trapeze instruction. Mixed level designed to meet students where they are.

Intermediate Fabric: Fundamentals of Drops and Rotations (18+) $190 Purchase required to enroll

Level: Intermediate

Wednesdays from 6-7:15pm starting May 1 and ending June 19 with Amy Cohen

This class is designed to introduce and reinforce techniques related to basic forward rotations on fabric as well as wheel down variations and star based drops on fabric. These drops and rotations become the underpinning of many more complex drops and rotations in advanced fabric learning.

Pre req: Students should be confident with front and back balance position, multiple climb variations, wrapped 360, front dive, wheel downs, and single star from an invert in the air to take this class. Students should be open to taking a methodical approach to understanding drops and rotation theory.

Intermediate Rope (18+ with exceptions) $190 Purchase required to enroll

Level: intermediate

Thursdays from 6:45-8pm starting May 2 and ending June 20 with Alex Sosebee

Pre-req: Short arm hang and long arm hang on rope or fabric and ability to invert in the air. Proficiency with hip key, hitch, foot knot. and inversions from the ground on vertical apparatus. Students do not need to have rope experience as long as they meet these pre-requisites on fabric.

Advanced Vertical Aerial Meet Up (18+) $190 Purchase required to enroll

Level: Advanced

Tuesdays from 6:45-8pm starting April 30 and ending June 18 with Heather Scheck

An opportunity for advanced vertical aerialists to practice, polish, refine, and innovate within their skill set with a well versed moderator on site to assist with reminders and refreshers and help you with tips and tricks or accountability if you desire.

This is specifically designed for those who were previously in adv aerial fabric, and by application for those who feel qualified. The moderator will bring a basic structure to the class, but you’ll be expected to come ready to train in a supportive environment. Students are welcome to train solo or duo verticals.

Pre-requisite: Adv Fabric at Circus Culture or by application (email us if you feel qualified and wish to join).
